finally i found some nice use for my never-used digital camera, for lj-cuts and for live(journal)

i started learning icelandic again. i have an italian teacher, kind of famous in iceland because he won 'who wants to be a millionaire':

and i started with my master's paper, i found kind of many nice books in the library. i'm scared:

I really love iceland so much.. i often dream of being there. I'm really thankful for your posts because they are the only thing that allows me to personally look into iceland. You also have a really great eye and you're film photos of iceland are stellar to say the least. I live in NY and I am so dead ass broke that it will take years till i can visit this place of extreme beauty. Do you go out of Reykjavik often? One of my favorite things about Iceland is how everything is so extremely grey at all times but the houses are vibrant pops of color along the horizon. Your lucky to say the least!

iceland's in deep shit now, the crisis is being very very bad in here and yesterday they were talking of the whole nation going bankrupt... the two principle banks have been nationalized and russia (!) has lended them some huuuuge amount of money. and well, apart from that, the climate's very unpleasant in winter (and in summer it doesn't get more than 16 degrees, when i'm used to 40º when in spain!). i guess that my pictures are the way i have to make it look nice and somehow convincing me that this is not such a bad place to live in. it's like finding the colour moments in all this grayness. and of course it's completely different when you come here only as holidays, then i believe it's like paradise...
